LG V50 Thin Q ($1152) joins the list of 5g enabled and 5g supported phones while the 5g is still in infant stage, phone packs a punch in overall performance. This remarkable phone joins the small list of 5g enabled devices that we have. Don’t confuse this with other LG V phone series in market. We will review the smartphone under 5 categories namely, Ergonomics (Display & Design), Call & Sound Quality, Hardware, Network & Performance, Cameras & Software followed by a quick verdict.

Let’s begin,

Ergonomics – For most of the design, it’s the typical LG V series design and that continues on this latest flagship also.

Front side is housed with a 6.4inch OLED display with small notch and minimum bezels.

Measurements – 6.25 by 2.98 by 0.44 inches, 6.46 ounces. (heavier but not difficult to hold for long, good weight balance)

Network, Call & Sound Quality – V 50’s 5 G only supports that of Sprint’s Network. It supports LTE bands though (1/2/3/…. /71). It covers all carriers except AT&T. Band 71 provides better and vast coverage in rural areas.

Call Quality is excellent and crystal clear. Unsure of 5G quality though.

Wi-Fi – 2.4Ghz, 5.0Ghz bands.

NFC – Yes

Bluetooth – 5.0 for wireless tech

Audio Quality – Dual speakers with DTS:X 3D Surround sound. 93dB, loud enough. Clean sound & best in class.

Pricing & Verdict – Though expensive than its competitors due to 5G rollout, we think it’s a great all-rounder phone. Display is sharp, comes with latest android pie and beautiful audio quality is sure a nice signal. Hardware is pretty decent and has never lagged or underperformed in the past models as well. Gaming can be done easily and a nice camera just puts a nice smile over your mouth. It’s definitely a 4+ stars product.
